The onboarding process is always the trickiest for entrepreneurs. But the first 72 hours of signing on a client is the most vital time — you want them to feel loved and taken care of; reassured that this was a great move on their part. Stakes are high, but so are your emotions. So we’re laying out all of the steps for you here:
- 1 hour: Auto send a confirmation email to your client with details on how to access their product and or view their client dashboard. Highlight Expectations and where to direct questions to. Reiterate the scope, timeline, and milestones.
- 24 hours: Send your client an email with a quick checklist of next steps and a reminder to submit any necessary information you are waiting on. 36 hours: Order client gifts
- 48 hours: If they haven’t joined the slack channel send them a reminder to join.
- 72 hours: Check in on your clients and ask them to fill out a 2-3 form onboarding satisfaction questionnaire
